Illustration & Graphic Design

The ability to effectively convert ideas to a visual medium is a key skill in this industry, and the foundation of all the other forms of art that I strive to master. After all, how could I animate without being able to draw?

Whether it is designing a poster, drafting a character concept, or creating a custom logo, the skills needed are all the same. A solid understanding of composition, color, and space is only a small part of what’s necessary to be an effective designer and animator.

Throughout my life I’ve continued to keep some time to work on side projects to refine my skills or experiment with new techniques. Here are some samples of projects I have produced on my own time over the years.

Make It

Being able to use my art for paid work is, in a small way, confirmation that my skills are useful. Whether it’s a one-time commission job, or being a part of a Marketing team for a local company I find myself beaming with pride at the things I help create.
